We decided to take a day trip and head to Charelston one hot July day.....the kids were so excited and we were happy not to have to share a hotel with them for the evening as no one ever seems to get any sleep.....we arrived at the beach around 9:30am and it was already super hot out....I did manage to take a few nice pictures of the kids before we headed over to the public beach at Folly Beach....I happen to love these more secluded sections of the beach....they are beautiful and the kids find amazing shells in the less populated sand areas....we usually try for some family pictures but at 7+ months pregnant....the kids seemed to make a better photo opportunity:)
We had such a nice day trip to Folly Beach in Charelston this weekend....we are trying to do as many fun things as we can as a family of four before that baby arrives in less than 2 months....With Mason starting school at the end of the month, time is growing short!!! We had so much fun splashing in the Ocean, jumping waves and making sand castles....it was a hot day at the beach but we played for hours with only a picnic lunch in between....the kids were so good and could have stayed out there all day long. Carissa said she loved the seashells and Mason loved all the sludgy sand he made himself into a mud monster and chased us into the Ocean:) Love these guys and all the fun we had in the Sun....minus 2 bottles of sunscreen!!!
While home in Chicago, GaGa took us to The Splash Station for a fun afternoon.....the kids loved swimming and Splashing. Mason even got to go down this gigantic waterslide on a mat all by himslef.....he was just the right height and loved it!!!! We also had fun on the Lazy River. We finally got a warm enough day to enjoy the water...the first part of our trip was rainy and chilly....can't wait to try this place again next summer when Carissa is a bit taller and can do all the slides as well.
Just a few pregnancy pictures of mommy at 27.5 weeks with our newest little guy.....October 5th can't come soon enough and everyone around here is sure ready to meet him. Mommy and Daddy had a fun night out with some great EIU college friends, Robin, Kristen, Molly and Devin........so glad we get to see them every summer when we make a trip home and dinner sure was yummy!!!!
The 4th of July was lots of fun this year...the kids loved playing with their cousins in the pool, having a yummy cookout and watching all the cool fireworks late at night...GaGa brought some yummy suckers and Auntie Val had lots of fun glowsticks to entertain them too...they also can never get enough of Uncle Bryan's Huge Tire Swing in the backyard!!! Happy Indepenence Day 2011....we are thankful for our freedom!!!!
