Indian Land Fall Festival

Today was another busy day of both T-Ball and Flag Football games but we decided to make a quick stop on our way home to visit some friends at the Indian Land Fall Festival. Our friend Melissa had her hairbows for sale, Kona Ice was there and some other fun crafters....The kids enjoyed saying Hi to all the Mascots walking around visiting the kids and they even got to check out all the booths with free candy and flyers....nice:)  The weather is nicer out these days but it sure is hard to squeeze in all the fun in these rather short weekends...Now that 2 kids are in elementary school and getting home later each day that's about all the time we have to do stuff anymore.  So sad we missed the chili cookoff this year I bet there were some great ones...speaking of chili, we sure miss our friends the Larsons every October their church hosted a Halloween costume trunk or treat and a chili dinner....wish they were still living close!!!

Pumpkin Pumpkins Everywhere

Pumpkins are in the air and we stopped off at Hall Farm this afternoon to pick some pumpkins...we are loving fall but not this 90 degree heat!!! So hard to keep dressing kids in summer clothes doing fall activities....but they did enjoy pulling wagons and searching for the perfect pumpkin....Mason was not thrilled the vines were prickly and Ryder thought it was a jungle out there...Carissa loved pulling Jack in the wagon like a wild woman and Daddy joined us too!!!  Mason had a blast playing tether ball with another little boy while Carissa and Ryder went down the slides...Jack was smart and hung out under the tents with his blackberry slushie:)  We will try to make it back to do the hayride with the older kids it was just too hot today.   There also was a sweet lady there taking pictures...although these are all my own the bottom one was the one that she took of the kids which turned out cute...not a bad idea for photographers if you get a good crowd at the patch:) So Cute...love my kiddos and looking forward to whatever else we can squeeze in between Fall Sports!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Jackson

This poor kid had a crazy busy day before we could finally get to celebrate him turning 2 years old. Our morning started at 5am with setting up for our big annual neighborhood yard sale and since I just emptied all my teaching stuff from the attic at our old house we sure did have lots to sell....so all morning we hosted a kids lemonade stand and sold lots of treasures (for someone else anyways)...they we rushed out the door for Carissa's 12:30pm T-Ball game in Tega Cay then came straight home to pick up Mason for his Flag Football Game and swung by to pick up pizzas and cake for Jack's special day....it wasn't anything fancy but his eyes lit up when he saw his cake and he was in love with his new Buzz Flap Book and James battery powered train.....Nothing could have been better for the next house of his life....at 2 years old he is saying all sorts of words like playground, eat, bye bye, let it go!!!, battery and he loves toy story!!!!  His favorite activities include playing trains, lego mini figures and toy story stuff...love this little man Happy Birthday Jackson Drake your party will be so fun in a few weeks!!!

Playdate at Hall Family Farm in Charlotte

So the big kids are back in school and I am finally trying to get the boys out to enjoy the weather and time with their friends. Our friend Kim invited us apple picking but the forcast was calling for lots and lots of rain. Hall Family Farm happened to be opening for the Fall this same day and it is only about 10 minutes away so we thought it was a great option in case it did start to rain:) We love to strawberry pick here and the last few years they have begun to do pumpkins, hayrides etc. The boys had so much fun drinking homemade slushies, and riding the hay ride....the best part for them was the amazing new firetruck slide they added this year:) Thanks Kim for inviting us out and glad Caleb, Conor and Alyssa Rose could come play too!!!  What a fun time with friends!!!
