Carissa's New Big Girl Room

Well we have made it through a night and now a morning nap in the Big Girl Bed:) Carissa really likes her new room that Mommy put together for her. Pa made some nice shelves for all of her special stuff and Daddy was the best and painted while we were in Chicago. Her room has lots of special trinkets from when Mommy was a little Girl (my first stuffed winnie the pooh, a ceramic shoe, mommy's tooth pillow and also my Hail Mary Porcelian Night Light) Carissa loves playing with her babies in bed. All that is missing from her Princess room is that crystal chandeliar that we will have to convince Daddy of in the near future:) Still have more to hang on the walls and need to finish sealing her Tea Table and Chairs that Pa made then her room will be complete.

Summer Ends School Begins

The End of Summer is sadly here...but we sure did have a great one. We finished up August with one last Trip to the beach with our Pa, had some fun playdates and even started Carissa's new Big girl room (pictures to come when it is all done). Next week is Preschool Oreintation and then school the following day. We are excited to start a brand new year and see our friends again. We hope everyone had a great summer like we did.....bring on Fall...its Our Favorite!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Elizabeth

We had so much fun this weekend at Elizabeth's 4th Birthday Party. Her Mommy had such fun stuff for us to do. We made balloon animals, Cari's was a fish and Mason's was a doggie. We also enjoyed some yummy Tinkerbell cupcakes and had a super fun water balloon fight. Did we mention she had the biggest Tinkerbell Pinata that we have ever seen??? We love spending time with Elizabeth...she also had a cool scooby doo movie playing during dinner that we have never seen before....such fun, Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!

Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia

On our way home from the beach, we decided to stop off for an afternoon at the Zoo. We were lucky enough to beat tha rain just in time to see the monkeys, penguins and tigers. Mason loved feeding the Giraffes leaves and Carissa liked watching the penguins swim...she ran back and forth along the tank with them. We had a good lunch and then got back in the car and headed back to Charlotte. We had a fun trip with our Pa and will be sad to see him go back to Chicago tomorrow!!

Downtown Charleston with Grandpa

After a long day at the beach we headed to Downtown Charleston for a yummy Dinner at Bubba Gump's Shrimp House and then enjoyed some delicious treats from the homemade candyshop located in the Straw Market. We then went back to the hotel for some late night swimming just to be sure the kids had had a long enough day to sleep through the night....we should have stayed out til morning!!!

Splish Splash at Folly Beach

The kids had the bestest time at the Beach this summer with their Pa....They built a sand castle but Cari thought the Moat was her special pool to sit in and they jumped wave after wave!!!! We stayed in a super fancy hotel this time and wondered where all the other kids were...hmm??? We also saw a girl get stung by a jelly fish....then hosed down with vinigar...ouch!!! Thats when we decided to hit the showers and head downtown.

The Treasures of Charleston

This past weekend we had a great time searching for sea shells and starfish along the Charleston Shores. The kids loved splashing in the waves with Pa and Mason was so veryexcited to find his first Starfish.

Golf Outing for the Boys

It sure was hard to find a rainless day in Charlotte last week....BUT Friday the boys headed out in the 93 degree Carolina Weather for a little Twilight Game of Golf. Mason loved golfing with Daddy and Pa but seemed to love the snack cart girl even more!!!!

Pineville Park

After arriving at Monkey Joes last week to see 3 bus loads of kids pull in at the same time as us, we decided to turn around and head to the park. We had just as much fun without the chaos....Mason made a new friend that he spent his time hunting bugs with and Pa played with Carissa and Mason on all of the playground sets.
