This evening we had a great time as a family at the kick off of the annual Strawberry Festival here in Fort Mill SC. It was the Strawberry Pick N Flick...you go to the fields and pick berries and then stay for an outdoor movie with the family. They had a big section of the field cleared and had food vendors, picnic blankets and games for the kids to play. Even the Giant Strawberry Mascot and Strawberry Princesses were there:) This kids loved eating giant corn dogs and strawberry shortcakes and dancing to the live DJ. Mason was the best strawberry picker ever...he picked 5lbs of beautiful berries(including his favorite find: a berry that looked like a red chili pepper) and mommy could just watch them:) Ryder tried to eat every berry he found but he also had so much fun putting a few in his basket. Carissa was a great big sister in the fields helping Ryder while picking her own strawberries. She also love riding in the tin can cow ride. The fields were super muddy from all the rain but we still had a great night....the kids played football and hula hoops while running around with all the other kids...we would have stayed for the movie but it was a school night and when the sun set it got a little chilly out for the babies....looking forward to the festival this weekend...Mason is determined to find another giant corndog!!!
