Happy Birth-DAZE

Happy Birthday to my friend's Colin and Lila....It is still a bit of a blur trying to help both friends celebrate at almost the same time this morning but we are so lucky to have these great friends in our lives and hope we sent Enough Birthday Cheer to each of them!! Colin had a super fun party at Pump it Up Party Zone and Sweet Lila had a cool Hello Kitty Bash at Chuckie Cheese....Mason and Carissa enjoyed themselves and we are enjoying a little free time as they both take a nap. Happy Birthday also to our friend Sarah who is celebrating her 5th birthday today and To Our Uncle Dan.......We miss you both and can't wait to see you this Summer.

My New Found Friend

It amazes me to watch my kids grow and not only see the relationship they have with us but those that form between a brother and sister. Mason has really discovered he has a built-in friend in his very own house. He and Carissa are inseparable these days..Cari follows him around and Mason is now including her in all of his play (as long as it is what he wants to do!!) I can't wait for all the fun they will have this summer!

Our Home in Cameron Woods

This is our second home as a family and although it is not as new or big as the first home we built over in Steele Creek, we have come to love it more and more each day because of all of the wonderful neighbors and friends we have made here. The kids play all week long and we are blessed to have lots of neighbors our age with kids the same age as our own. So, although space and storage is tight, we have a great playroom, a huge backyard and lots of love for our home and the family within!! This past weekend we were able to plant 2 new trees, 4 bushes and lots of flowers.....we also had to remove a bunch of old trees and stumps to make room for the new. We may not be in this house forever but this is definately a place we will forever call our home!

My Girl's Smile

Our Little Girl is almost 15 months old and is still does not say much (believe me, I am not complaining!!! Have you met her Brother???) BUT her sweet smiles can light up a room, as she grins from ear to ear, with only 2 Little Teeth shining through! Cari is always so happy and fun to be around. She loves playing baby dolls and INSISTS on wearing her cupcake apron daily, as she waddles over to me, grunts and hands it to me to tie around her waist. At 15 months she says "Bee" for ball, "Mah Mah Mah Mah" for Momma, "Bay BEEE" for baby and "Bah" for Bow...hairbow that is!!!!! and yes, Daddy is still devestated that the child says bow and still does not say DaDa but we are working on it! Happy 15mths Sweet Girl....We Love You!

A Trip to the Farmer's Market

They sure do have lots of yummy food and pretty flowers at The Farmer's Market. Mason and Carissa loved walking around and tasting all of the melon. We also saw lots of pretty flowers. We can't wait to go back again soon but it sure is busy there this time of year. Thank you North Carolina Farmers for growing us healthy and dee-licous foods.

Planting Flowers on Mother's Day

Thanks Little Man for helping Mommy and Daddy plant a whole bunch of flowers and Trees for Mother's day. And a BIG thanks to Little Mama (Carissa) for taking an extra long nap so we could complete the process. I guess all the Bagels, Church and Trips to buy flowers wore us out this morning and now we are all tired from a long day!!

The Sweetest Thing & Fort Galbraith

Mason has been waiting for weeks...no really weeks (Easter) to get a hold of this Giant Lollipop that GaGa sent him in the mail and today he finally got to enjoy it!!! He was a really happy boy...Thanks GaGa!!
Mason loves to have his friends over to play. Today he and his Friend Preston had a great time making a big fort out of all the couch pillows...I think they had a better time tearing it down!!

Carissa Explores Outdoors

Cari has really become a great walker in the last 2 months and she is now more confident in the area of : Rough Terrain AKA Grass!!! She loves playing with Twigs and Pine Straw too...we can't believe how much she has grown and how well she can keep up with her Big Brother!!

Splish Splash -N- Puddle Jumpin

Mason happens to enjoy the rain because he loves any chance to put on his favorite Green Froggy Boots and head outside to jump in muddy puddles...Actually...he wears these boots almost everyday (raining or not) He has found them quite difficult to ride a bike in however!!!! This morning was extra fun for him as he jumped from house to house down Deep Meadow Lane splashing in one Muddly Puddle after Another......Mud and all we love him anyways!!!

Rainy Day'z in Charlotte

The last couple days have been pretty rainy here in Charlotte so the kids have been stuck inside the house but luckily we have found a few activities to keep them busy. Mason and Carissa love playing together (surprisingly) They both sit under the easel and pretend to drive the mailtruck...They LOVE to play with the kitchen set's playfood and set up picnics all over the place and I do not think they will ever stop playing with the Laugh and Learn House....Its "in and out" all day long. They even indulged in a little art this morning and did a great job on their painting.....Hope this rainy weather passes soon and we can be back outside!!

We visited Imaginon and had lunch at Rock Bottom....we also checked out about every water fountain in uptown....the kids are finally home asleep in there beds as we begin a the roofing project (small part of roof needing some new shingles)...wish us luck!!!!
